In April 2007 the A gency Japan International Cooperation JICA (ex JBIC) and the Regional Government of Cajamarca signed a memorandum of intent for financing infrastructure projects in the Cajamarca Region .

The February 8, 2008, the Government of Peru represented by the Ministry of Economy and Finance ; Ministry of Housing, Construction and Sanitation ; Regional Government of Cajamarca and EPS Marañón and SEDACAJ , signed with the Government of Japan the Minutes Discussion of the Loan for a total of 142.2 million soles.

This operation was formalized by the Supreme Decree No. 068-2009-EF of March 25, 2009.

General Objective:

reduce the incidence of gastrointestinal and parasitic diseases in the population that is part of this program and improve their quality of life through efficient delivery of potable water and sewerage Companies by Service Providers.

Specific objectives:
